RETURN TO HUMAN

SEPTEMBER 25-28, 2025

CORBETT, OREGON

---

WELCOME. Come gather with us at a beautiful retreat center nestled in a lush Cascadian forest. We will spend three nights dwelling amongst the tall firs and cedars, with trails leading to creeks and fern-filled alcoves, and open fields illuminated with sunshine.

Our days will be spent in community — moving, playing, feasting. We will connect with our bodies and the natural landscape. We will rest, breathe, and sauna. We will learn modalities that support our thriving health.

---

THIS RETREAT IS FOR YOU IF

  • You are seeking support in building or reimagining a personal movement practice
  • You are new to movement, you are an experienced mover, and everything in between
  • You want to trade the noise of modern life for the rhythms of forest, fire, breath, and bones
  • You long to be part of a community where presence, play, and nourishment are the foundations
  • You are ready to move wildly, rest deeply, eat ancestrally — and remember what it is to be human

FEATURING

PRIMAL MOVEMENT with TIM MATZ / MOVE LIKE HUMAN

The way humans move was shaped by our relationship with the natural world. Although we have come a long way from our ancestral habitat, our physiology still craves and thrives from natural movement that is aligned with our biological roots.

Through a combination of theory, practice, and play, you will learn the fundamentals of natural human movement, how to use the natural world as your gym, and what to prioritize in your own personal movement practice for a lifetime of reliance and capability.

Each day, we will gather in group morning movement, natural movement and functional strength training, and recovery practices including self massage and breath work.

HI, I'M TIM MATZ.

Father, husband, traditional bow hunter, and multidisciplinary movement coach.

Through a synthesis of many schools of practice and emphasizing the natural environment, my aim is to empower you to take responsibility for your health through effective and accessible education. Armed with the understanding that nature heals, my aim is to inspire you to get back to your natural habitat and facilitate a thriving community filled with deep bond-building between myself and others with shared aspirations and values. Here, we call this revillaging.

Reclaim your birthright to be strong, mobile, and pain-free, now and for the rest of your life.

MOVE LIKE HUMAN

PRIMAL NOURISHMENT with MARROW / CHEFS PAIGE AND EMILY

Deep in the bones, where golden sunshine is stored, Marrow was birthed to nurture our primal bodies. Weaving together the art of nourishment and ancestral wisdom, we listen to the rhythms of the natural world — rendering an offering that brings the earth to your table.

Our time together will be filled with epic feasts, showcasing the beauty of the Cascadia bioregion. We will gather around bountiful meals crafted from locally grown produce, regeneratively raised meat, and wild crafted delicacies. Throughout the day, there will be a hydration station featuring wildcrafted sober elixirs, herbal electrolyte drinks, and more…

We will come together to learn a couple fundamental nose to tail recipes. You will leave with new skills allowing you to easily incorporate primal nourishment into your everyday living.

HI, WE'RE PAIGE & EMILY.

We are personal chefs with a shared passion for creating nutrient-dense foods that nourish your primal body. At the heart of our mission is a desire to bring the ancestral vitality of wild foods and bone marrow to your table. Inspired by the flourishing revival of organ meats and animal fats, Marrow has crafted an emerging line of provisions, including wild berry & bone marrow fruit spreads along with bone marrow broths featuring local wild ingredients such as nettles, spruce tips, and dulse seaweed.

Marrow is committed to working with local farms that focus on regenerative grazing techniques. This supports the health of our bodies, and the health of the Earth, as regenerative grazing can sequester carbon and build soil health.

Some of our partners include Carman Ranch, Revel Meats, Champoeg Farm, Spero Homestead, Totum Farm, Pat-n-Tam’s, Campfire Farms, Rubinette Produce, Groundworks Organics, Feather Oak Farm.
